Marti Pieper
Bio: Marti Pieper ’s passion to Read.Write.Pray has yielded all kinds of adventures. In 2005, her involvement in a prayer project led her to assist Brent and Deanna Higgins as they told the compelling story of their son, BJ. I Would Die for You: One Student’s Story of Passion, Service, and Faith (Revell, 2008) became a young adult best-seller which the publisher calls a “missions classic.” Today, Marti assists other authors from her central Florida home as book doctor, writer, and editor. She also writes and edits for popular Christian teen girls’ magazine, SUSIE, and serves as Director of Prayer and Publication for Awe Star Ministries, a student missions-sending organization. She speaks to women’s groups, student organizations, and writers’ conferences on a variety of topics focused on her passions to Read. Write. Pray.
Marti holds a B.S.Ed. from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is wife to Tom (pastor, teacher, and trumpet player extraordinaire) and mom to five amazing children. Find her at www.martipieper.com .
