Bio:
Peg Carmack Short is the
author of A Country Sampler of
Simple Blessings and is a
contributing author to What
We’ve Learned So Far and
Intimate Moments with God,
both of which are released in 2004.She has
also authored hundreds of articles for mass
market and Christian magazines. She has more
than twenty years experience as an
award-winning writer and editor. Peg is
currently editor-in-chief of Significant
Living Magazine, a faith-based magazine
to help those 50 plus maximize the second
half of life. Her magazine background also
includes executive positions for
Romantic Homes, Decorating Ideas, Becoming
Family and others. In addition to her
magazine work, Peg formerly worked in
acquisitions for both Tyndale House
Publishers, developing products for Focus on
the Family; and Moody Publishers, acquiring
non-fiction books for women.
A frequent
media personality, Short has appeared on
radio broadcasts and been interviewed in
many newspapers discussing home and family
matters. She also speaks and teaches at
national women’s events and writers
conferences. Peg will customize keynote
presentations and has led workshops on a
variety of topics. Her special areas of
interest and expertise include women, home,
family, maximizing life after 50, writing
and publishing.
