Bio: Jeanne Zornes
loves to speak about the power of encouragement,
hope, prayer, and growing closer to God. She
balances humor, stories of growth and
compassion, and Biblical principles as an
approachable, caring speaker with an
award-winning publishing background. Author of
hundreds of articles and contributor to two
dozen compilations (including the Chicken Soup
series), she’s also had seven books published.
They include Spiritual Spandex for the
Outstretched Soul (spiritual growth); When I
Felt Like Ragweed, God Saw a Rose (the ministry
of encouragement); When I Got on the Highway to
Heaven, I Didn't Expect Rocky Roads
(steadfastness in trials), and When I Prayed for
Patience...God Let Me Have It! (patience). She
won the 1999 "Pacesetter Award" of the Mount
Hermon Christian Writers Conference and the 2000
Heritage Keepers/NavPress "Woman of Influence"
essay contest. Jeanne holds a master's degree
from Wheaton Graduate School and a Bible
certificate from Multnomah, and has
writing/editing experience with newspapers, a
national Christian magazine, Christian book
publisher, and Wycliffe Bible Translators. She’s
also taught writing. Wife of a retired teacher,
plus care-giver for an elderly parent, she is
also mother of two young adult children, one an
engineer and the other a violinist. Her family
attends the Wenatchee ( Wash. ) Free Methodist
Church . |
